Job summary

OCBC Group in Hong Kong is seeking a detail-oriented Clearing Operations Clerk to process inward and outward clearing transactions, including cheques and CCASS operations. You will verify data, meet HKICL/HKSCC cut-off times, and collaborate across branches and departments to ensure smooth settlement and reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Form 6 (HKDSE pass) or above.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or finance.
• Proficient in general PC applications.
• Language proficiency in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Process inward and outward clearing transactions, including clearing returns.
• Handle cheque clearing, CCASS, FINI, direct debit and direct credit activities.
• Perform verification, validation, data entry and reconciliation of clearing items.
• Generate and submit clearing data, image and return files to HKICL.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks within HKICL/HKSCC cut-off times.
• Liaise with internal departments and branches on clearing enquiries.
• Maintain documentation for audit and compliance requirements.
• Support UAT, operational readiness, procedure review and post-implementation activities.
