Job summary

CICC in Hong Kong is seeking an analyst to support the trading desk with daily booking and settlement processes, client accounts, and data reporting.

You will assist in allocating funds for trading accounts, manage OTC derivative client accounts and DMA setups, and train sales staff on OTC derivatives to improve process familiarity and compliance. This role partners with internal teams to push digitalisation initiatives and overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related disciplines.
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience, including relevant experience in derivatives trading.
• Solid understanding of overseas secondary market trading rules and knowledge of derivative product structures, legal frameworks, trading, booking and settlement processes.
• Strong English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork spirit.
• Hold a securities industry licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the trading desk’s daily booking and settlement processes, including counterparty payment settlements, the sending of option valuation statements and settlement reports, and data reporting.
• Assist the trading desk in allocating funds for trading accounts.
• Manage OTC derivative client accounts and coordinate client DMA account setup and trading.
• Conduct regular training for sales staff on OTC derivative businesses to enhance their familiarity with the WI trading process.
• Maintain close communication with internal sales personnel to address client issues and needs promptly.
• Collaborate with other business teams to advance the trading desk’s digitalisation and support other company-led initiatives closely.
