Job summary

A leading consulting firm in Hong Kong is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to provide comprehensive database administration support. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Information Technology and have over 6 years of experience in IT, including at least 4 years in Oracle Database environments. Key responsibilities include daily support, managing database upgrades, and executing disaster recovery drills. Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting is preferred. This role offers a chance to work in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma Holder with at least 6 years working experience in Information Technology.
• At least 4 years working experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager, and familiar with Oracle RAC, ASM, and RMAN.
• OCP 12c or above certificate is an advantage and solid working experience in supporting Oracle database application.
• 3 years working experience in using Linux shell scripts and Linux operating systems.

• Provide daily / ad-hoc Oracle database administration support service such as DB cloning, DB upgrade, DB migration.
• Support application terms / application maintenance vendors for problem diagnosis.
• Plan and perform system DR drill exercise on an annual basis.
• Perform the database account password change exercise, modifying the system configurations to use the new password, rebuilding the application executable, etc.

• Degree / Higher Diploma Holder with at least 6 working experience in Information Technology
• At least 4 years working experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager, and familiar with Oracle RAC, ASM, and RMAN.
• OCP 12c or above certificate is an advantage and solid working experience in supporting Oracle database application
• With 3 years working experience in using Linux shell scripts and Linux operating systems.
• Oracle Exadata knowledge is preferred but not mandatory
• Good interpersonal communication and accountability
