Job Description

• Design, planning, document, implement and maintain Production database system;
• Undertake daily database administration, monitoring and improve database performance and capacity;
• Assist the application development & maintenance team in design, testing, troubleshooting and address database performance issues;
• Build database scheme, tables, procedures, permissions and encryptions;
• Create shell scripts for task automation;
• Analyze and sustain capacity and performance requirements;
• Analyze, consolidate and tune database for optimal performance;
• Deploy and oversee backup, restore, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover processes;
• Develop and implement the recovery procedure for all databases;
• Provide 24/7 support for high severity incidents;
• Provide research on latest database technologies, evaluate and recommend new database tools;
• Provide trainings and support on database related topics;
• Support system & infrastructure implementation on projects

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines is a MUST.
• A minimum of 7-10 years solid experience and knowledge in RDBMS technologies including database encryption and operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows).
• Solid experience in Oracle 11g RAC or above & MSSQL 2008 or above.
• OCP/MSSQL Certified; Have knowledge on DB2 is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge and solid experience on database activities.
• Experience on Exadata administration, virtualization, RAID architectures, storage networking, enterprise backup solution is preferred.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written Mandarin & English able to interact with internal staff and external vendors to insure effective collaboration.
• With problem solving, well-developed interpersonal and communications skills.
