Job summary

NFJ Labs in Hong Kong is seeking an organized Operations Coordinator for a part-time or hourly role to manage consignment workflows. You will receive, inspect, and route jewelry and cultured pearls, maintain inventory, and handle cross-border customs while keeping systems up to date.

This strictly operational position offers high flexibility and a chance to help establish our new Hong Kong base, with workload driven by consignments and evolving partner needs.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in operations, logistics, or inventory management.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong customs declarations, cross-border taxation concepts, and international trade compliance.
• Proficiency in maintaining accurate inventory records using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) or cloud-based accounting platforms like Xero.
• A strong eye for detail, particularly when handling and checking high-value physical inventory.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently on a flexible, consignment-driven schedule.

Responsibilities

• Consignment Processing: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of jewelry and cultured pearls against manifests to ensure accuracy and condition.
• Inventory Management: Meticulously log, organize, and track inventory using structured spreadsheets and operational tracking software.
• Customs & Compliance: Handle all necessary cross-border customs declarations and ensure complete compliance with local import/export regulations for luxury goods.
• Distribution Logistics: Coordinate the dispatch of processed consignments, whether preparing them for sale and handover to local Hong Kong partners or packaging them for international export.
• General Operations: Manage all related administrative and logistical tasks tied to the lifecycle of each consignment.

The Role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to join us on a part-time or hourly basis. This role is purely operations-focused and is driven by our consignment schedule, meaning the workload fluctuates and offers significant flexibility. It is an ideal position for someone seeking a manageable commitment without the demands of a standard full-time schedule.

You will be the on-the-ground anchor for our Hong Kong operations, ensuring that every shipment of jewelry and pearls is accurately received, processed, and routed to its next destination seamlessly.
