Selby Jennings is partnering with a growing hedge fund in Hong Kong to hire an Operations Analyst to support day-to-day investment operations across multiple asset classes.

The role suits candidates from fund administration, fund accounting, investor services, custody, or middle office backgrounds seeking closer exposure to investment management; you will handle NAV production, reconciliations, corporate actions, and reporting to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, investor services, custody, middle office or fund operations.
• Strong knowledge of NAV production, NAV review, fund accounting or fund administration processes.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end trade lifecycle, ensuring trades are accurately captured, matched, settled and reconciled
• Monitor daily cash, position and portfolio reconciliations and investigate breaks where required
• Liaise with fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes
• Review NAV packages and fund accounting deliverables produced by external service providers
• Support corporate actions, cash management and operational control processes
• Assist with fund launches, account openings and onboarding of new service providers
• Prepare operational reports and management information for senior stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and operational efficiency
• Assist with ad hoc projects and regulatory or audit-related requests

• Experience supporting hedge funds, alternative investment funds, asset managers or institutional investment products
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, fund valuations, settlements and operational controls
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English required
