Job summary

Feather & Bone in Hong Kong is seeking an Online Shop Assistant to support daily e-commerce operations in the food and drink sector. You will accurately pack orders, coordinate shipping via Shopify and courier platforms, and keep inventory organized for smooth order fulfilment.

You will also handle customer inquiries with professionalism, use Excel for simple reporting, and learn our product range to improve recommendations and accuracy in every shipment.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Chinese & English.
• Experience in customer service or retail is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data entry and basic reporting.
• Familiarity with Shopify or e-commerce platforms is beneficial.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and organized Online Shop Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our online store in the food and drink industry. You will play a key role in ensuring orders are packed accurately, shipped efficiently, inventory is well-managed, and customers receive excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pack and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring product quality and presentation standards are met.
• Arrange and coordinate logistics via the SF platform (or similar courier systems), including generating shipping labels, scheduling pickups, and tracking deliveries.
• Maintain and update inventory records, conduct stock checks, and flag low-stock items in a timely manner.
• Handle customer service enquiries via email, chat, or phone — resolving issues, answering product questions, and providing a positive experience.
• Use Microsoft Excel (or similar tools) for basic data entry, order tracking, inventory lists, and simple reporting.
• Develop a solid understanding of our product range to support accurate order fulfilment and customer recommendations.
• Keep the packing and storage areas organised, clean, and efficient.

• Process and manage orders through the Shopify platform, including order fulfilment, status updates, and basic store operations.

Requirements

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, simple formulas, and spreadsheet.

• Genuine passion for the food and drink industry.
• Willingness to learn our product range thoroughly.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions.
• Previous experience in packing, warehouse, retail, or customer service is an advantage (but not essential).
• Proficient in spoken and written in Chinese & English, Mandarin will be a plus.
