Job summary

Airwallex in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Payments Business Operations Expert focused on offline acquiring. You will optimize the end-to-end offline payments lifecycle, from merchant onboarding to settlement, ensuring regulatory compliance and high reliability.

You’ll design scalable processes, manage relationships with POS vendors and payment partners, and lead risk, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Finance, and Sales.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in Payments Operations or a related role.
• Deep operational experience in offline acquiring or merchant services.
• Knowledge of Visa/Mastercard rules and card-present compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
• Ability to design scalable operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end offline acquiring processes.
• Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and risk.
• Manage relationships with payment partners, ISOs, and vendors.
• Oversee merchant onboarding, KYC/AML compliance, and terminal setup.
• Establish KPIs and monitor transaction processing and settlements.
