Job summary
Heptagon Photonics Pte Ltd. is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality activities through the project development and industrialization stages. You will report to Corporate Quality and work with Project Managers and Tech Leads to embed quality requirements from concept to mass production.
The role emphasizes DFQ/DFM/DFR, FMEA/Control Plans/PAAP, and NPI quality planning to ensure reliable and compliant products. A strong background in optics/electronics quality systems is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required in a technical field related to optics/electronics.
- Experience with quality systems and APQP processes for new product introductions.
- Knowledge of FMEA/DFMEA, control plans, PPAP, and quality verification methods.
Responsibilities
- Represent Quality in project core team and lead quality activities.
- Define quality objectives and track metrics against targets.
- Lead APQP, ensure deliverables meet timelines.
- Collaborate with R&D/Tech to apply DFQ/DFM/DFR principles.
- Lead FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, SPC, and V&V plans.
- Verify inspection methods and approve gauges and test fixtures.
- Lead FAI submissions per customer requirements.
- Conduct audits to verify process stability and control.
- Drive closure of quality issues using 8D/RCCA/ DMAIC.
