Job summary

Senko Advanced Components is seeking an experienced Design Quality Engineer II with expertise in plastic injection molding to join our team. In this role, you will lead quality assurance during New Product Introduction (NPI), collaborating directly engineering teams and global suppliers to ensure seamless transitions from design to volume production.

The role requires solid knowledge of ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, and FMEA, hands-on molding experience, and willingness to travel to mainland China for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Materials Engineering.
• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in fiber optics, optical components, or precision electronics is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on background in plastic injection molding, tooling concepts, and resin/part defect troubleshooting.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, GD&T, and SPC.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) for cross-border supplier and engineering coordination
• Willingness to travel periodically to mainland China (Shenzhen/Guangdong region) for supplier audits

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments (DFMEA/PFMEA), define Key Product Characteristics (KPCs), and establish SOPs, inspection plans (SIPs), and Control Plans for new products
• Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. Monitor pilot run yield and conduct reliability test validations
• Conduct supplier qualification, new line audits, and evaluate 4M/4M1E process control changes
• Investigate complex quality issues, issue SCARs, and drive root-cause analysis (8D reports) with suppliers
• Provide functional oversight to local QC inspection teams and verify supplier production quality
