Job summary

The University of Hong Kong invites applications for the position of Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine. The appointee will assist in research projects on autoimmune neurological disorders, cognitive disorders and dementia, including clinical trials across multiple Hong Kong hospitals, under Prof. K.H.

Chan. Requirements include a B.Sc. or M.Phil.

Qualifications

• A B.Sc. degree or an M.Phil. degree in Biological/Medical Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience in immunological, molecular and cell biology techniques such as indirect immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, real-time PCR, Western blot, maintenance of cell lines and transfection, DNA sequencing and laboratory animal (rodents) handling.
• Proven knowledge and competence in Neuroscience and Immunology would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in research projects focusing on autoimmune neurological disorders, cognitive disorders and dementia, including clinical trials involving multiple hospitals in Hong Kong.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
