Job summary

Zurich 56 Company Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Underwriter (Middle Market / Commercial Insurance) to focus on Property & Casualty portfolios for the Hong Kong Business Unit. You will underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority, and build broker and distributor relationships to support retention and growth.

The role requires a degree and at least two years in general insurance, with strong English and Cantonese; Mandarin is an added advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree holder.
• Over 2 years working experience in General Insurance program.
• Good multi-lines underwriting knowledge mainly on Property & Casualty.
• Experience in evaluating middle market exposures and directing others in analyzing risks.
• Experience in negotiating mid-market deals; serve large producers.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority.
• Maintain profitable multi-lines underwriting for mid-market portfolios.
• Develop and maintain broker/distributor relationships for retention and growth.
• Use underwriting scorecards and MI tools to manage portfolios and pipelines.
