Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is seeking a Mechanical & Pumping Supervisor to join the Engineering team. You will supervise and carry out repairs and maintenance to mechanical equipment and fittings, reporting to the Building Services Engineer.

A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork drives this role in a luxury hotel environment. The position requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, plumbing and welding licenses, and the ability to work shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in luxury hotels or clubs would be an advantage.
• Holder of Plumbing License and relevant certificates are required.
• Holder of welding license is preferred.
• Shift work is required.
• Good communication skills and good command of written English & Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Fire, Life, Health, Safety, Security (FLHSS) Standards to maintain a proper and safe work area.
• Perform Emergency Response Team duties.
• Carry out maintenance work according to the hotel plan.
• Maintain proper and safe condition of all Plant, Plant Rooms, Equipment and Work areas.
• Supervise and support the M&P Technician.
• Liaise with other departments & contractors.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Engineering Department in Hong Kong, the M&P Supervisor is responsible for supervising and carrying out repairs and maintenance to mechanical equipment and fittings. The M&P Supervisor reports to theBuilding Services Engineer.

As M&P Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Comply with Fire, Life, Health, Safety, Security (FLHSS) Standards to maintain a proper and safe work area
• Perform Emergency Response Team duties
• Carry out maintenance work according to the hotel plan
• Maintain proper and safe condition of all Plant, Plant Rooms, Equipment and Work areas

As M&P Supervisor, we expect from you:

• Holder of relevant certificate
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with similar position
• Experience in luxury hotels or Club House would be an advantage
• Holder of Plumbing License and relevant Certificate are required
• Holder of welding license
• Shift work is required
• Good communication skills and good command of written English & Chinese.
