Job summary

Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong invites applications for a senior academic leadership post to spearhead maritime programmes. The role oversees strategic development, programme governance, external engagement and quality assurance across the Institute.

The successful candidate will possess a recognised degree and a postgraduate qualification in a related discipline, with strong leadership and language skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree and a post-graduate qualification in related discipline, or equivalent, preferably with relevant professional qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development of maritime programmes and oversee overall management of the Institute for efficient operations.
• Plan, control and review provision and utilisation of staff and resources.
• Lead development, validation and accreditation of programmes.
• Serve on Programme Board(s) and other academic/management committees.
• Develop and monitor quality policies and training standards.
• Maintain close contacts with industry and professional bodies for collaborations.
• Pursue new services and programmes to meet industry needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance vocational and professional education in maritime training.
• Perform teaching duties and/or supervise student projects when required.
