Job summary

Standard Chartered Hong Kong is seeking an experienced professional to support ORSO/MPF trustee services within the Financing & Securities Services group. You will assist the Head of Global Trustee Services Ops and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and sound fiduciary operations.

The role involves preparing scheme communications, regulatory reporting, monitoring service providers, and contributing to scalable operating models, with strong English/Cantonese

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in retirement schemes / unit trusts operations including cash/bank reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of ORSO, pooling ORSO and MPF operations.
  • RA13 license would be a plus.

  • Handle enquiries from clients, scheme administrators and other parties about scheme operations.
  • Prepare and review scheme communication materials.

Job Summary

The Financing & Securities Services (FSS) business has a unique footprint in Asia, Middle East, and Africa, and offers a growing range of products, including direct custody, international custody, funds services, trustee services, transfer agency, prime services, and agency securities lending, to a number of client sectors including banks, investors, intermediaries, sovereigns, fund managers insurance companies and corporates.

The jobholder is responsible for assisting Trustee Services in Hong Kong to provide administrative and operational support to ORSO schemes/MPF schemes/funds which is in compliance with statutory requirements and scheme governing rules.

  • Provide support to the Head of Global Trustee Services Ops on ORSO and MPF trustee services related tasks.
  • Assist Trustee Services to ensure the fulfilment of the fiduciary duties of trustee under ORSO and MPF regimes.
  • Ensure compliance with the legislation and governing rules of the ORSO and MPF schemes/funds under the trusteeship of SCT.
  • Works collaboratively with members of the FSS, Financial Markets (FM), Client Coverage (CC), Operations teams to ensure cross-product, cross-business opportunities are realised.
Job Responsibilities
  • Handle general enquiries with counterpart such as clients, scheme administrators, other functions teams, members, external parties in respect of the scheme operations.
  • Deal with enquiries that relate to scheme operations, accounting and financial aspects.
  • Acts as a liaison to clients and service providers for administrative and operational matters.
  • Prepare and review scheme communication materials.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and returns.
  • Assists to review and update internal procedure manual on regular basis.
  • Assists to monitor performance of service providers.
  • Assists in ad hoc tasks.
  • Works across CCIB and the Bank to ensure strategies for trustee and fiduciary services are aligned.
  • Assists the business to internal and external constituents as the business representatives on fiduciary matters
  • Assists to collaborate with FSS Ops to design and implement scalable, automated, and commercially viable operating model for the business, capable of adaptation to satisfy changing business and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist to maintain detailed financial analyses for fiduciary product suite to identify areas of financial strengths and areas of improvements.

Qualifications
  • The jobholder will have been educated to degree level with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience in performing daily operations of a retirement scheme / unit trust, including cash / bank reconciliations.
  • Familiar with individual ORSO, pooling ORSO and MPF operations.
  • Knowledgeable in eMPF platform.
  • Advanced knowledge in computer literacy.
  • Independent, self-motivated, pro-active and mature. Willing to work late.
  • Willing to take on new challenges and work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Licence holder of RA13 under SFC would be a plus.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Cantonese and English. Mandarin would be a plus.
