Job summary

Melco Resorts & Entertainment seeks a Manager, Public Relations to drive proactive PR strategy for City of Dreams and strengthen media relations across key markets including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Macau and Taiwan. You will lead agencies, coordinate executive interview opportunities, and collaborate with social, media and digital teams to maximize campaign impact.

The role requires 3–5 years in PR within hospitality or travel, excellent English/Cantonese/Mandarin, and a proven track record

Responsibilities

• Develop long- and short-term PR strategies for City of Dreams, focusing on brand messages.

• Coordinate interviews and briefing materials for Melco executives.
• Collaborate with Social Media, Media and Digital teams for integrated comms.
• Assist in PR events planning and budget forecasting.

Job description

Manager, Public Relations is expected to take a proactive, strategic and leading role in formulating PR communication projects and plan by using a variety of communications activities, to build the image, and build the good reputation of the company among our target audiences and contribute to the development and enhancement of a 'best in class' PR communications and media relations function.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support line manager to develop long and short term PR communication strategies and plans for City of Dreams, with focus on PR category to optimize the brand image and messages
• Build, manage and support brand relationships with journalists, celebrities and agents for high visibility of City of Dreams, promoting the property in the key target markets including Mainland China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Macau S.A.R., Taiwan China, Korea and Thailand
• Lead agencies to come up qualified press releases on time to ensure positive PR exposure according to aligned communication calendar
• Generate positive PR exposure for various campaigns
• To maintain good communication with key stakeholders and fulfill the company objectives.
• Effectively manage the PR agencies ensuring they are appropriately briefed on all activity and approval processes are adhered to
• Work with line manager to pitch interview opportunities for Melco executives per business request
• Lead agencies to come up factsheet, management speech, MC scripts, interview Q&A, management briefing book, etc. according to aligned communication calendar
• Support line manager for the planning and implementation of PR events
• Support line manager for PR budget forecast, planning, monitoring and optimization to ensure spending efficiency
• Support line manager for various media coop planning, implementation and to ensure the quality of deliverables for various campaigns
• Closely work with Social Media team, Media team and Digital team etc. to enhance integrated communication and maximize impact

Key Performance Indicators:

• Media Relationship in key markets, including but not limited to Mainland China, Hong Kong S.A.R., Macau S.A.R., Taiwan China, Korea and Thailand
• Annual PR clippings, with strong penetration across Tier 1 and Tier 2 media, measured in terms of both quantity and quality
• Pitch and support for Melco executive’s interview
• Media coop planning, implementation, and deliverables upon alignment with line manager for various campaigns

Qualifications:

Experience

• Over 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Public Relations, background in the hospitality and travel industry is a priority
• Strong media outreach, network and relations
• Previous experience working in the HK market is a priority

Education

• A bachelor’s degree or above of relevant fields
• Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent discipline preferred
• Excellent command of written & spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Strategic thinking with excellent project management, time management and multitasking skills
• Candidate must have a well-developed and mature presentation style
• Have exceptional intellectual, professional, and interpersonal agility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
