Job summary

The Bank of East Asia (BEA) is seeking a capable banking professional to support the Department Head and Section Head in monitoring and developing business across overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches. The role involves reviewing reports, budgets, and driving performance against KPIs, while coordinating with multiple units for referrals and new product initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a finance/business degree with 5+ years in banking, including 3+ years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• University graduate, preferably major in finance or business related discipline.
• 5+ years' banking experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• HKIB qualification would be an advantage
• Good knowledge in banking operations, products and services
• Understanding of banking policies, procedures, practices and rules
• AORP/CORP will be an advantage
• Self-motivated, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Team player with good communication and organisation skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin)

• To monitor the performance of overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches against approved key performance indicators (KPIs) in order to meet the Bank’s targets
• To coordinate between overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches and other business units of the Bank Group for customer referrals and/or other business matters
• To work with overseas, Macau and Taiwan branches in new business initiatives, as well as development and promotion of new products
• To handle regular and ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• University graduate, preferably major in finance or business related discipline
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the banking sector with at least 3 years in supervisory role
• Relevant HKIB qualification would be an advantage
• Good knowledge in banking operations, products and services;
• Good understanding of banking policies, procedures, practices and rules;
• Holder of Associate Operational Risk Management Professional (AORP) or Certified Operational Risk Management Professional (CORP) will be an advantage
• Self-motivated, good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• A team player with good communication and organisation skills;
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
