Assist in the planning and execution of major events, working closely with the Senior Manager to ensure all aspects align with HKTB's strategic goals.
Address enquiries from event organisers and stakeholders promptly and effectively, providing clear information and assistance as needed.
Support mega events in taking root in Hong Kong by providing assistance for their successful integration and sustainability in the local event landscape.
Serve as a primary point of contact for event organisers, understanding their needs and providing support where needed.
Manage logistics and operational arrangements, including venue selection and vendor coordination.
Coordinate with relevant authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals for events.
Support the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies that align with HKTB's objectives and enhance tourism visibility.
Monitor the progress of events, ensuring seamless coordination and supporting event organisers to achieve their objectives.
Prepare reports and documents to facilitate effective communication, including pre-event agreements and post-event evaluations.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to source market intelligence and explore potential collaborative efforts.
Stay updated on global event trends, local regulations, industry updates, competitor activities, and audience preferences to inform event strategies and enhance offerings.
Maintain accurate records of events, organiser interactions, and feedback for continuous improvement.
Support other sectors as assigned by management, with a primary focus on sports.
Undertake any other duties/special assignments as directed by the supervisor.
University graduate with a minimum of 8 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in marketing, public relations, business administration, event management, or other related disciplines.
In-depth knowledge of the sports industry, including trends, stakeholders, and best practices, to effectively leverage sports events to drive the tourism economy in Hong Kong is an advantage.
Exceptional coordination skills, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of organisation and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders , preferably within, but not limited to, the sports industry.
High proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive individual with a positive attitude and a curious mindset.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by event schedules and operational needs.
Availability to provide on-site event support outside normal office hours, depending on event timing, programme requirements, and business priorities.
