Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a capable Reporting Analyst to help prepare annual and interim financial disclosures, HKMA banking returns, and Head Office reports; you will develop internal controls to ensure data accuracy for regulatory reporting. The role requires knowledge of HKMA requirements, CAR and Large Exposure Return, plus strong analytical and communication skills in English and Chinese.

Experience in banking audit or Big 4 is welcomed; you will work under pressure as part of a

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or related disciplines.
• HKICPA or other professional accounting qualification would be an advantage.
• 3+ years of relevant reporting experience; Big 4 candidates with bank auditing also welcomed.
• Familiar with HKMA regulatory reporting; CAR/Large Exposure Return knowledge preferred; treasury knowledge a plus.
• Independent, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Strong analytical skills and team player with a focus on control and efficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office; SQL and/or RAy system knowledge preferred.
• Good written/spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

• Professional qualification in HKICPA or other professional accounting bodies would be an advantage


• With 3 years or above of relevant experience in reporting would be preferable. Big 4 candidates with bank auditing experience are also welcomed


• Familiar with HKMA regulatory reporting requirements. Sound knowledge on CAR and/or Large Exposure Return is highly preferred. Good treasury product knowledge would be an asset


• Independent, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure


• Strong analytical skills and as a good team player, with control and efficiency mindset


• Proficient in MS Office application. SQL and/or RAy system knowledge is highly preferred


• Good communication and report writing skills in both Chinese and English


• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)


• Candidate with less experience would be considered as Deputy Accounting Manager
