Job summary

BDO Limited is seeking an experienced auditor to lead assurance engagements in Hong Kong. You will plan and execute audit fieldwork, ensure fieldwork is conducted in line with firm standards, and provide leadership to the audit team throughout engagements, with occasional travel to Mainland China and beyond.

The role requires 4–5 years of relevant assurance experience, excellent English and Chinese communication skills, and a commitment to BDO's quality standards and values.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in accounting or related disciplines.
• Qualified accountant preferred but not required.
• 4–5 years of relevant assurance experience with a sizable firm.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent English and Chinese communications; Putonghua preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the auditor in charge of assurance engagements.
• Plan and execute audit fieldwork.
• Conduct audit work and ensure fieldwork is completed per firm policies.
• Support the firm’s Global Vision and core values.
• Travel to Mainland China and other countries as required.

Responsible for the planning and execution of audit fieldwork

Conduct audit work and ensure fieldwork is executed and completed as planned and in accordance to the firm’s policies and procedures

Support and act towards the BDO Global Vision

Be committed to act with the firm’s core values and competency expectations

Requirements:

Degree holder, major in accounting or other related disciplines

Qualified accountant is preferred but not a pre-requisite

At least 4 - 5 years of relevant experience in assurance, gained with sizable accounting firm

Excellent project management skills and outstanding leadership quality

A good and effective team player

Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua

Be passionate for providing exceptional quality service and striving for exceeding clients’ expectations

Travel to Mainland and other countries will be required
