Job summary

Ernst & Young in Hong Kong is seeking an Audit Staff/Senior Accountant to join the External Audit team. You will contribute to planning, execution and delivery of assurance engagements, providing independent examination and discussions with management on accounting matters.

The role offers diverse development, world-class learning and coaching, helping you advance to leadership within a globally connected firm. Travel within PRC is required and strong English/Mandarin skills are essential.

Qualifications

• An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting and CPA certification.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or relevant business/industry experience.
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as staff accountant.

Your key responsibilities

• Support the planning, execution and delivery of in assurance engagements
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
• Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
• Build strong internal relationships within Ernst & Young Assurance and across other services
• Coach, supervise and conduct performance review and contribute to performance feedback for staff
• Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting and retaining assurance professionals
• Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of all staff
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures

To qualify for the role you must have

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience as an auditor for a public accounting firm, or particular business/industry experience to meet special needs
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as staff accountant
