Job summary

Rock Bund Capital in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Infrastructure & Reliability Engineer to own the core execution infrastructure for high-frequency trading. You will bridge AWS cloud, bare-metal networks, and Linux kernel tuning to deliver ultra-low latency and robust uptime.

You will manage global networks, co-location connections, time synchronization, and multi-account AWS environments, shaping the reliability strategy for a fast-growing crypto and traditional finance trading platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in low-latency infrastructure or SRE for electronic trading.
• Deep networking knowledge: BGP, Multicast, PTP timing, and IPSec VPNs.
• AWS hybrid expertise: Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, multi-account IAM.
• Linux performance tuning and latency validation.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and scripting.
• Root-cause methodology using protocol analyzers and hardware counters.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Architect, maintain, and troubleshoot global networks across co-location facilities and exchange feeds.
• Manage routing protocols (BGP, RSTP/STP, Multicast) and time synchronization setups.
• Oversee and validate time precision and network QoS configurations.
• Diagnose encryption tunnels and secure broker/exchange lines.
• Analyze latency and packet loss with diagnostic tools.
• Design and manage multi-account AWS environments using AWS Organizations and RAM.
• Take ownership of AWS Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, and hybrid VPC routing.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines for reproducible deployments.
• Perform low-latency host optimization and kernel bypass techniques.
• Establish telemetry and alerting frameworks across cloud and on-prem assets.
• Conduct structured root-cause analysis for outages.
