Job summary

Millennium seeks an experienced Linux/Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve a high-performance, low-latency trading platform. You will join a globally deployed engineering team delivering scalable infrastructure and core services for portfolio managers, researchers, and technologists.

The role requires deep Linux engineering expertise, experience with low-latency networking, and automation-driven development.

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience in financial technology services.
3+ years supporting low-latency trading systems and scalable infrastructure.
Deep Linux systems engineering with performance tuning.
Experience with VMware ESXi/vCenter, networking, and time synchronization services (NTP, PTP, PPS, WR).
NVIDIA GPU/CUDA experience for Linux infrastructure and performance-sensitive workloads.
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting; Ansible configuration-management; Terraform a plus.
Proven ability to troubleshoot across the technology stack and coordinate production changes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; RHCE and cloud-platform exposure a plus.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain Linux, virtualization, and related infrastructure as part of a globally deployed engineering team.
Build, operate, and improve a high-performance, low-latency trading platform in partnership with infrastructure and application support teams.
Identify, prioritize, and resolve complex incidents and root causes to prevent recurrence.
Gather requirements, evaluate technical options, and implement solutions aligned with business needs.
Monitor platform health and performance; diagnose latency issues and drive remediation.
Deliver stable, repeatable Linux systems through automation and code-driven engineering practices.
Lead technical discussions and communicate with stakeholders across teams to solve complex problems.
Produce clear documentation and participate in off-hours on-call support as needed.
