Job summary

Bullish is seeking a senior Trading Platform Engineer in Hong Kong to design and optimize high-performance systems at the intersection of software and hardware. You will work on low-latency services, kernel and user-space components, and distributed systems patterns to deliver deterministic performance.

The team focuses on architecture, reliability, and observability, using perf, eBPF, and flame graphs. You will collaborate across engineering and risk teams to maintain SLOs and production

Qualifications

Expert-level Java programming and performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals and memory management.
Experience reducing latency and jitter in distributed systems.
Deep understanding of networking, sockets, and I/O paths.
Familiarity with sequencer-based total order or related concepts.
Proven ability to measure, profile, and optimize systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize high-performance trading services with Java and C, focusing on low latency.
Optimize kernel and user-space components, memory management, and I/O paths.
Tune networking pipelines and explore kernel-bypass techniques for throughput.
Analyze bottlenecks with perf, eBPF, and flame graphs to improve determinism.
Collaborate across teams to ship robust production systems with clear SLAs.
