Job summary

Barclays is seeking a Liquid Financing – VP Full Stack Developer in Hong Kong to shape the next generation of SBL and Secured Finance platforms. You will build microservices with Java Spring, UI with Angular, and deploy on OpenShift for a global workflow spanning APAC, EMEA, and AMER.

Based in Hong Kong, you will work hands‑on with front office SBL traders, translating market needs into robust engineering solutions using TDD, CI/CD, and strong OO design across backend, data, and UI layers.

Qualifications

• Experience in full‑Stack Engineering with Java, Spring Boot, REST microservices and Angular.
• Deep SBL / Equity Finance experience including borrowing/lending workflows and lifecycle events.
• Strong OO design and refactoring skills; Agile/Scrum with test‑driven development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy UI (Angular), services (Java Spring), and database interactions.
• Modernize legacy components into scalable microservices on OpenShift.
• Deliver front‑to‑back solutions meeting regulatory and control requirements.
• Apply CI/CD, TDD, code reviews, and observability practices.
• Collaborate with traders and middle office to translate market needs into technical designs.
