Job summary

Barclays Hong Kong seeks a Liquid Financing – VP Full Stack Developer to help engineer the next generation of our SBL and Secured Finance platform across APAC, EMEA, and AMER. You will deliver microservices in Java Spring, Angular, SQL, and OpenShift, working alongside Front Office SBL team in a fast-paced, front-office environment.

The role demands deep SBL knowledge, strong engineering discipline, and the ability to translate market needs into robust solutions, with emphasis on security,

Qualifications

• Experience in full Stack Engineering: Backend Java/Spring, Frontend Angular, database SQL.
• Strong OO design and refactoring skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep SBL/Equity Finance experience including lending workflows and lifecycle events.
• Ability to work with traders and frontend/backoffice teams to deliver production-ready code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy UI (Angular) and backend (Java Spring) components.
• Modernize legacy components into scalable microservices on OpenShift.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions across business, regulatory, and control requirements.
• Ensure security, stability, capacity, and observability; lead code reviews and testing.
