Job summary

ZEEKR Hong Kong is seeking a Hong Kong-qualified legal counsel to support the local subsidiary's operations and expansion. You will provide day-to-day legal guidance, ensure compliance with local law, and work with business teams and headquarters to implement legal requirements.

You will lead contract reviews across sales, dealer cooperation, marketing and after-sales services, manage disputes with external counsel, and help mitigate legal risks while enabling efficient growth for the HK

Qualifications

• Holder of a law degree from a reputable domestic or foreign law school.
• 4–8 years PQE with preference for automobile sales/distribution experience.
• Local Hong Kong legal practice qualification preferred.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Cantonese and Mandarin a plus.
• Strong communication, analytical, multitasking and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-cycle legal support for local automobile sales operations, including drafting and reviewing dealership agreements, sales contracts and related documents.
• Lead the development and maintenance of internal compliance systems, including labor and employment contracts, governance guidance, and licenses.
• Manage subsidiary disputes and coordinate with external counsel to mitigate risk and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with HQ on Hong Kong subsidiary legal matters and ensure alignment with corporate requirements.

Job description

We are looking for a Hong Kong-qualified legal counsel to support the business operations and expansion of our Hong Kong subsidiary. The role will be responsible for providing day-to-day legal support, advising on local law and regulatory matters, and working closely with business teams and headquarters to ensure effective implementation of legal and compliance requirements, mitigate legal risks, and facilitate efficient business operations and growth.

• Provide full-process legal support for the local automobile sales business: Lead the full-cycle management of contracts involved in core sales linksactivities such as sales, dealer cooperation, marketing, and customer service, including but not limited to reviewing and revising documents likesuch as dealership agreement, vehicle sales contracts, after-sales service agreements, advertising contracts, and logistics procurement contracts, supporting commercial negotiations, identifying key local legal risks (e.g., consumer rights protection), and delivering risk control solutions.
• EstablishProvide legal support for establishment of internal compliance system, including but not limited to labor and employment compliance (e.g., drafting orreviewing and revising employment contracts, non-compete agreements, employee handbooks, and organizing labor employment training), corporate governance compliance (providing legal guidance for the compliant operation of governing bodies such as the board of directors), and management of corporate qualifications and licenses (supporting the application for and maintenance of business qualifications and permits required for automobile import, distribution, and after-sales services).
• Manage legal disputes and external lawyers: Lead the resolution of subsidiary legal disputes (including escalated consumer complaints, dealer contract disputes, labor arbitration/litigation, infringement disputes, etc.), formulate dispute response strategies, and reduce dispute risks.
• Coordinate closely with HQ, synchronize on local legal matters, provide updates on the progress of Hong Kong subsidiary'sHK subsidiary’s legal work, and implementsupport the HQ'simplementation of HQ’s legal and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

• Major in Law; Bachelor's or master's degree from a renowned domestic or foreignoverseas law school.
• 4-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE); prior legal servicepractice experience in the automobile sales/distribution sector is preferreda plus.
• Possession of local legal practice qualification in Hong Kong is prefequirred.
• Excellent written and oralspoken English skills, which can be used for use as working languages, good Cantonese and Mandarin speakingproficiency is plus.
• Strong communication skills with business personnel, outstanding logical thinking ability, stress resistance, multi-tasking ability and problem-solving ability.
