Job summary

Cross Industry Climate Group is seeking a qualified professional to teach and organize courses in MiC-related programmes. The role requires building upon HKQF standards, developing course content and coordinating assessments and site visits to ensure high-quality instruction.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years post-qualification experience, strong English and Chinese language skills, and proven ability to engage stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in construction-related fields and professional membership preferred.
• Minimum 7 years post-qualification experience in building/civil works or quantity surveying.
• Experience in designing and documenting HKQF programmes would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of MiC, MiMEP or BIM is advantageous.
• Strong project management, implementation skills and analytical ability.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement with high integrity.
• Excellent communication, teaching/presentation and stakeholder networking.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Conduct teaching in the programmes listed and organise all course activities, including assignments, assessments and site visits.
• Prepare and supplement training materials to meet industry requirements and ensure effective learning.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Job description

The applicant must possess

1. a recognised degree or above in construction-related fields, with corporate membership of an appropriate professional institution is preferred
2. a minimum of 7 years post-qualification relevant work experience in building works and / or civil engineering works and / or quantity surveying, with experience in conducting training, preferably in Certificate in Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) for Foreman / Technically Competent Person Tl Training Course, and with a good vision particularly in courses and / or programme articulation and / or Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF)
3. experience in programme design and documentation work under the HKQF would be an advantage
4. conversant with comprehensive and latest knowledge on technologies in the construction industry and training-related areas, such as MiC / MiMEP / BIM would be an advantage
5. profound knowledge in project management and implementation, strongly self-initiated and good analytical skills
6. commitment to high levels of quality and continuous improvement
7. a high level of integrity and a strong sense of responsibility
8. strong communication, teaching / presentation and interpersonal skills and effective network with stakeholders in the construction industry or vocational education and training and
9. a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Duties include

1. to conduct teaching in the programmes mentioned in the possession point 2 above and to organise all necessary activities for courses, including preparation of course assignments and assessment papers, course assessment and site visits, etc.
2. to prepare and / or supplement training materials to comply with training requirements and the latest development of the industry in order to deliver quality teaching with best knowledge and skills, and enable an effective learning experience for students and
3. to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

The position is on a time-limited fixed-term contract subject to operational needs.
