Hong Kong Institute of Construction is seeking a Supervising Instructor - Safety Training. The role oversees daily training activities, evaluates instructors, and coordinates schedules to ensure HKIC standards are met.

The candidate will design assessments, conduct tests, and contribute to the continuous improvement of safety training programs. Candidates should have a Higher Diploma or equivalent in construction/engineering, a relevant trade Certificate (including Trade Test or A12S Silver

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher? No—qualifications required per ad: a recognised higher diploma or equivalent in construction/engineering.
• Valid Certificate in relevant trade (including Trade Test Certificate in Rigger/Metal Formwork Erector or A12S Silver Card in Construction Materials Rigger and Signaller).
• At least 10 years of solid work experience in relevant trade.
• Basic knowledge of using digital or AI‑supported tools to improve daily work efficiency.
• Good writing and management skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily training activities at training grounds to ensure programmes meet HKIC standards.
• Supervise, monitor and evaluate instructors’ teaching performance.
• Plan and coordinate daily operation schedule of training grounds, including class arrangements and equipment allocation.
• Conduct tests and training; design assessment items and training contents.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Supervising Instructor - Safety Training

• with arecognised Higher Diploma or equivalent academic qualification in construction / engineering discipline or equivalent qualification;
• with valid Certificate in relevant trade (includingTrade Test Certificate in Rigger/Metal Formwork Erector or A12S Silver Card in Construction Materials Rigger and Signaller);
• with a minimum of 10 years’ solid work experience in relevant trade, familiar with 4S and lifting operations is preferred;
• with basic knowledge of using digital or AI‑supported tools to improve daily work efficiency; and
• with good writing and management skills.

(Applicants who do not possess the required qualifications and / or experience may be considered for other positions within the organisation.)

Duties include:

• to oversee daily training activities at the training ground(s) to ensure all programmes are delivered in accordance with HKIC standards；
• to supervise, monitor and evaluate instructors’ teaching performance;
• to plan and coordinate the daily operation schedule of the training ground(s), including class arrangements, equipment allocation, etc.
• to conduct tests and training, and to design assessment items and training contents; and
• to carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director.

Applications:

The position is on a renewable fixed-term contract (subject to performance and operational needs) for a period of 2 years.
