Job summary

Nex in Hong Kong is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to build the test engineering capability within Platform Software Engineering for Nex Playground experiences.

You will define and implement an automated test strategy across device software, cloud services, and hardware-integrated systems, leading to reliable releases. You’ll drive AI adoption in testing and mentor engineers across time zones.

Qualifications

• Must have: experience setting technical direction for test engineering and delivering work from strategy to implementation.
• Must have: hands-on software engineering and automated test frameworks experience.
• Must have: testing strategies for complex software systems including functional, regression, and stress testing.
• Must have: testing cloud services under load and analyzing performance bottlenecks.
• Must have: CI/CD integration and improving test feedback reliability.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the automated test strategy for Platform Software Engineering across device software and cloud services.
• Develop reusable test frameworks, harnesses, and infrastructure for reliable testing across system boundaries.
• Lead engineering collaboration to embed quality and testability into design and delivery.
• Track metrics and dashboards showing test coverage, reliability, and release risks.
