Job summary

Nex is seeking a Software Engineer Intern (Platform) in Hong Kong for Summer 2027. You will help build Nex Playground’s underlying platform, working with device software, cloud services, and APIs.

You’ll receive dedicated mentorship and hands-on ownership of a meaningful project that ships with real impact. Ideal candidates are pursuing CS/CE/SE, with strong programming fundamentals and experience in at least one language such as Kotlin/Java, C/C++, Go, Python, or TypeScript/Node.js, plus a

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in CS/CE/SE.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Platform Software Engineer Intern project with real ownership.
• Contribute to PlayOS, Play Services, or cloud platform capabilities.
• Build APIs or developer tools used by Nex teams and improve performance with testing and telemetry.
• Collaborate with mentors from across Nex to design, build, test and document outcomes.
