Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is assisting a fully funded high-frequency trading firm that aims to launch its new trading platform. They seek an experienced Lead C++ Developer to guide the team and deliver high-performance financial applications in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, define architecture, and collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to produce robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on C++ development in a financial environment.
• Proven leadership experience with mentoring software engineers.
• Strong multithreading, concurrency, networking and low-level programming skills.
• Scripting knowledge with Python or Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with market data feeds, order management systems and exchange protocols.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full software development lifecycle for C++ trading systems and financial apps.
• Oversee and maintain existing codebases for high performance and reliability.
• Identify technical risks and drive improvements in code quality and processes.
• Guide architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with quantitative analysts and traders to deliver competitive solutions.
• Become a long-term member to shape the company's future.
