Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking an experienced C++ Developer to join the Market Execution team in Hong Kong, focusing on low-latency and high-frequency trading across global markets.

You will design and maintain high-performance C++ code, collaborate with traders and researchers, and optimise system configurations with Linux and network engineers to ensure speed and reliability in live trading environments.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in C++ with strong knowledge of the Linux platform.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining low latency trading systems.
• Demonstrated ability to apply low latency optimisation and system tuning techniques.
• Solid knowledge of market access systems within financial institutions.
• Experience working with Asian financial markets is advantageous.
• Understanding of financial products such as Equities, Options, Futures, and FX is desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high-performance C++ code for market access systems
• Collaborate with trading and research teams to gather requirements and deliver timely solutions
• Work with Linux system administrators and network engineers to optimise system configuration and deployment
• Interface with global exchanges and vendors to understand trading protocols and enhance time-to-market capabilities
• Support and improve existing systems used in live trading environments
