Data Intellect is seeking a kdb+ developer to collaborate with global teams and solve time-series data challenges. You will work on client applications, mentor junior developers, and contribute to learning culture across offices in Hong Kong and beyond.

The role emphasizes independent work, teamwork, and clear communication with stakeholders, with hybrid working and opportunities for global collaboration. Prior Capital Markets exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on kdb+ development with real-time and historical data.
• Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• Familiar with SDLC and software development methodologies.
• Able to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Capital Markets/Investment Banking experience advantageous but not required.
• Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms, or time-series databases.
• Exposure to AI tooling (Claude, Co-Pilot).
• Exposure to project leadership or people management.
• Contribution to internal tools, documentation, or community initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.
• Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
• Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
• Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
