Data Intellect is seeking a capable kdb+ developer to work on real-time and historical time-series data. You will collaborate with business users to translate requirements into scalable code, and you will contribute to project delivery with senior developers.

The role supports mentoring juniors and fostering continuous learning within a close-knit team. The ideal candidate has hands-on kdb+ experience, strong knowledge of the q language, and comfortable operating in Unix/Linux environments.

Formación

• 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience with real-time and historical data.
• Solid understanding of the q language and time-series data structures.
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with business users to define new application requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Collaborating with business users to define new application requirements.
• Developing, testing, and maintaining clean, performant code for client applications.
• Supporting project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
• Working as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
• Analysing large-scale time-series data and generating actionable reports.
• Mentoring junior developers and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of hands-on kdb+ development experience working with both real-time and historical data.
• Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
• Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking is advantageous but not essential

Bonus Skills (Not Essential)

• Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking.
• Knowledge of Python, cloud platforms, or other time-series databases.
• Exposure to AI tooling (Claude, Co-Pilot)
• Exposure to project leadership or people management.
