Job summary

Tiger Brokers Hong Kong is seeking a Junior SBL Trader to join the Prime Brokerage team. You will focus on stock borrowing and lending, securities financing, and related trading activities to support execution, borrowing availability, and revenue generation in a fast-paced market.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of direct SBL/Repo experience, strong analytical skills, and fluent English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years direct SBL, Repo, or securities financing experience.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin and Cantonese are a plus.
• Strong numerical and market awareness with quick decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage stock borrowing and lending transactions to improve borrow availability and P&L.
• Monitor market conditions, borrow availability, lending rates, liquidity to spot opportunities.
• Support day-to-day management of SBL and financing positions and optimize costs/returns.
• Monitor hard-to-borrow stocks, recalls, buy-ins, rate movements and market events.
• Assess risks of SBL/financing positions and ensure compliance with internal risk parameters.
• Develop and maintain trading tools, pricing and automation with tech teams.
• Engage with lenders, borrowers, brokers and counterparties; negotiate terms.
