Job summary

Toshiba Tec Singapore is seeking a Purchasing Buyer to oversee the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of parts for production and collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

You will plan, schedule, and expedite parts for mass production, negotiate with suppliers, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or preferably Engineering (Electrical, Electronic & Mechanical).
• Experience in a fast-paced multinational manufacturing environment (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Familiarity with global suppliers and overseas parts management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel and data analysis.
• Understanding of MRP systems and experience using Oracle procurement software.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage supplier relationships.
• Ability to manage stress, overtime, and frequent schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules with suppliers to optimize procurement costs and timelines.
• Coordinate part changes, including engineering updates, by liaising with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions.
• Manage End-of-Life (EOL) parts through effective planning to minimize production impact.
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies, documentation standards, and audit requirements for compliance.
• Prepare and present regular reports on inventory status, delivery performance, and procurement metrics to stakeholders.
