CYCMOTOR in Hong Kong is expanding its R&D and project development team, seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to advance design, prototyping, and testing of bike drive systems. You will own tasks from concept to prototype and contribute to both design and manufacturing workflows.

Job Summary:
We are seeking amotivated, hands-on, and technically skilled Mechanical Engineer to support our R&D and project development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, a passion for problem-solving, and a keen interest in design, manufacturing, testing, and system development.
This role requires a practical mindset, adaptability, and a proactive attitude—someone who can learn quickly, anticipate challenges, and take ownership of tasks while working closely with the Senior Mechanical Engineer. A sense of humor, teamwork, and a genuine passion for engineering (whether in mobility, mechatronics, cycling, or systems) will make you a great fit!
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in design, prototyping, and development of mechanical systems.
Create and review 2D technical drawings (GD&T, tolerancing) and 3D models.
Support manufacturing, assembly, and testing of prototypes.
Conduct hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving in the workshop/lab.
Perform FEA, simulations, and validation testing (if applicable).
Follow up on tasks independently, ensuring projects stay on track.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, production).
Research new technologies, materials, and manufacturing methods.
Document processes, test results, and design iterations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
1-3 years of experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, or R&D (fresh graduates with strong hands‑on skills may be considered).
Proficiency in CAD (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
Familiarity with DFM, FMEA, and prototyping techniques.
Basic machining/fabrication skills (milling, turning, welding, 3D printing) are a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
Self‑sufficient—willing to research, network, and find solutions independently.
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills):
Experience with mechatronics, embedded systems, or IoT.
Knowledge of CFD, thermal analysis, or vibration testing.
Interest in sustainability, mobility, or electric vehicles.
Knowledge of three phase motors and controllers.
Comprehensive overall knowledge of bicycles and motorcycles.
