Job summary

CYCMOTOR invites a Senior E-MTB Product Engineer to join our Hong Kong team. You will lead product development, prototyping, and testing for our electric off-road bike line, while delivering customer-facing technical support and hands-on engineering design.

You will collaborate with teams in China, the USA and Australia, own tasks from concept to mass production, and travel as needed to support prototype development and field testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical design and product engineering experience.
• Experience in bicycle, e-bike, motorsport or off-road vehicle industries is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D CAD modeling and design; skilled with MS 365 (Excel/Word).
• Strong project management and multi-tasking capabilities; able to deliver on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional CAD modeling and design work using SolidWorks; assist with assembly design and drawings.
• Develop new design solutions and contribute to product improvement projects.
• Support prototyping and validation testing for e-MTB systems and components.
• Provide technical and warranty support to global customers and resolve on-site issues.

Position Overview

As a Senior E-MTB Product Engineer at CYC, you will support global MTB customers while leading product development, prototyping, and testing for our electric off-road bike line. This hybrid role combines customer-facing technical support with hands-on engineering design. You will own engineering tasks from concept to mass production, collaborating closely with teams in China, the USA, and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct professional CAD modeling and detailed design work using SolidWorks, assist with assembly design and engineering drawing preparation.
• Participate in product improvement projects and develop practical new design solutions for e-MTB products.
• Support prototyping work and conduct validation testing for new e-MTB systems and components.
• Provide professional technical and warranty support to global customers, resolve on-site technical issues.
• Assist in optimizing SOPs, technical documentation, product manuals and internal knowledge management systems.
• Support the development and update of AI-driven customer support tools to improve service efficiency.
• Perform quality and performance testing for new product designs and component systems, and record and analyze test data.
• Assist with prototype building and iteration during APAC regional product development projects.
• Help integrate high-performance, innovative parts and solutions into formal production processes.
• Travel within China, Hong Kong and Australia to support prototype development, production testing and on-site engineering support.
• Support race team operations, industry exhibitions and brand events as required, combining professional expertise with on-site riding and product testing demands.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and product engineering experience; experience in bicycle, e-bike, motorsport or off-road vehicle industries is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D CAD modeling and design, and skilled in using Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel and Word are essential).
• Solid project management and multi-tasking capabilities, able to deliver engineering tasks on schedule in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with global cross-regional teams.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills, with innovative thinking for product and engineering optimization.
• Able to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced international working environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally for business needs.
• Passionate about mountain terrain biking and e-MTB riding, with personal riding experience or in-depth understanding of off-road riding scenarios and product demands is highly preferred.
