HONG KONG TUYI BUSINESS TRAVEL LIMITED in Hong Kong invites a Backend Java Engineer to maintain and evolve our hotel B2B platform. You will design, develop and operate backend services and APIs using Java, aiming for high performance and reliability.

The role requires 3+ years of Java backend experience, proficiency with Spring Boot, MyBatis/Hibernate, and MySQL, plus Linux deployments and Git-based workflows. Training at the Guangzhou HQ for six months precedes long-term work in HK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands-on Java backend development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 21 and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot / Spring MVC / MyBatis or Hibernate).
• Solid experience with MySQL including design and performance optimisation.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and Linux environments.
• Good written and conversational ability in English and Chinese.

We operate a hotel B2B platform that we have developed and operated independently. The system has been running stably for 15 years, serving over 1 million hotel partners, and is a mature, business-critical production system. We are inviting a Backend Java Engineer to join our Hong Kong technology development team to maintain and continuously evolve this platform. You will develop new features according to business requirements, optimise performance and stability, and gradually refactor parts of the codebase. This role is backend-focused and does not involve any frontend framework development.

Work Location: You will be required to undergo training at the Guangzhou headquarters for the first six months of employment. Upon completion of the training, you will return to the Hong Kong office for long-term work.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs for the hotel B2B platform using Java

Maintain and optimise existing production systems: fix issues, enhance features, and tune performance

Collaborate directly with product managers and business teams to translate requirements into usable features

Conduct code reviews and write clear technical documentation

Investigate and resolve production environment incidents and long-standing technical issues

About you

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline (equivalent hands‑on experience will also be considered)

3 or more years of hands‑on Java backend development experience

Proficiency in Java 21 and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot / Spring MVC / MyBatis or Hibernate)

Solid experience with relational databases, specifically MySQL, including structure design and SQL performance optimisation

Familiarity with Git, Maven or Gradle, and development and deployment in Linux environments

Good written and conversational ability in both Chinese and English (Cantonese/Mandarin acceptable)

Legal right to work in Hong Kong
