Job summary

M800 in Hong Kong is seeking a server-side developer to implement and debug communications systems, coordinate with development and operations teams, and contribute to technical design.

We require a diploma in CS/IT, 2+ years of server-side experience, strong Java, Git, and profiling skills. Excellent English/Chinese communication and an independent, proactive mindset are essential. 5-day work week, medical, bonus and other fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in server side applications and development.
• Strong knowledge on Java.
• Experience with GIT.
• Experience with application profiling and performance tuning.
• Strong desire to learn new technologies.
• Can work independently, innovative, self-motivated and strong problem solving skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English or Chinese.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered as Software Developer.

Responsibilities

• Implement and debug server side communications systems
• Coordinating with server development team and operation team to fix server side issues
• Building better tooling for better operation efficiency
• Educating the teams on best practices for avoiding frequent bugs
• Participate in technical design
• Work in irregular working hours when required
