Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Software Engineer II in Asset Management Trading Technology to design, build, and evolve trading platforms across asset classes in Hong Kong.

You will work closely with Traders to resolve issues, deliver scalable Java solutions, and drive innovation using AI-assisted development tools within a rigorous development lifecycle. You will contribute to architecture, implement streaming systems like Kafka, mentor teammates, and participate in end-to-end delivery from design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Formal training and 3+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience designing end-to-end software systems.
• Strong knowledge of core Java and OO design; Kotlin a plus.
• Experience with messaging and streaming tech such as Kafka.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to reliable, scalable systems.
• Collaboration with Traders and Quants.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with peer review.
• Understanding of responsible AI and secure coding.
