Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer II for Asset Management Trading Technology. You will design, build, and evolve platforms that manage orders and execute trades across asset classes, working closely with Traders to deliver scalable, high-performance systems.

You will develop core Java applications, explore streaming tech like Kafka, and push for continuous improvement and rapid delivery while mentoring teammates and championing engineering excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• Formal Training and certification on software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Proven hands-on experience designing and building end-to-end software systems.
• Strong knowledge of core Java and OO design principles; Kotlin is a plus.
• Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Solid understanding of modern software architecture and design patterns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver reliably.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Traders and Quants.
• Commitment to code quality, engineering excellence, and rapid delivery.
• Dedication to continuous improvement and AI-assisted development.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
