Job summary

Platinum Management Services Limited seeks a hands-on IT support specialist to deliver first-tier technical support for internal users, covering hardware, software, security, and connectivity issues. You will install and maintain end-user devices, uphold security standards, and support M365, VDI, and business apps.

The role involves IT project assistance, scripting, and maintaining IT documentation, with onboarding/offboarding involvement and compliance support. Fresh graduates welcomed.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma/Degree in IT or related discipline.
• Hands-on knowledge of Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policies, Office 365, basic cloud administration a plus.
• Experience with database administration or basic SQL queries (MS SQL/IBM DB2 preferred) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with VDI/remote desktop technology and collaboration applications.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash preferred but not required.
• Cybersecurity best practices (user endpoint security, MFA, threat awareness).
• Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems, asset management, and IT documentation tools.
• Team player with strong communication, positive service attitude, and a continuous learning mindset.
• Fresh graduates with a proactive, eager‑to‑learn attitude are also welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-tier technical support to internal users, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, cybersecurity, and connectivity issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals), ensuring compliance with company security standards.
• Support company systems (including Microsoft 365, remote access/VDI, collaboration platforms, and business applications).
• Assist with IT projects, new technology rollouts, and automating routine admin tasks (basic scripting desirable).
• Monitor and secure IT infrastructure (servers, networks, security endpoints, cloud systems) to ensure availability and protect against threats.
• Maintain up-to-date IT documentation (procedures, asset logs, policies, and user guides).
• Help administer user accounts, permissions, and system access (active involvement in onboarding/offboarding).
• Support regulatory audit and compliance efforts by maintaining accurate inventories and event logs.
• Provide ad-hoc technical support as directed by the CTO and management team.
