Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an IT Administration and Support Assistant Manager in Hong Kong. You will manage IT service requests, user access, onboarding/offboarding, and provide first-line support while coordinating escalation as needed.

You will engage with internal technology teams and external vendors, monitor progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders. The role emphasizes automation and simple VBA/Python tooling to improve workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, IT operations, or IT coordination within a corporate environment.
• Hands-on skills in Excel VBA and Python scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience supporting business-critical local applications and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT service requests, user access, onboarding/offboarding, and general IT administration.
• Track request status, documentation, and issue resolution records; escalate where needed.

Job Description

As an IT Administration and Support, Assistant Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

IT Operations & Support

• Manage IT service requests, user access, onboarding/offboarding, and general IT administration.
• Track and maintain request status, documentation, and issue resolution records.
• Provide first-line support and coordinate issue escalation where required.

Stakeholder & Project Coordination

• Act as a key contact for business IT enquiries and support issue triage.
• Coordinate with internal technology teams and external vendors to resolve incidents and deliver solutions.
• Monitor progress, manage follow-ups, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to improve workflows through standardisation and automation.
• Develop and maintain simple automation tools and utilities using VBA and Python.
• Support testing, documentation, and governance for locally developed solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IT Administration and Support, Assistant Manager should have:

• Experience in IT support, IT operations, or IT coordination within a corporate environment.
• Strong hands-on skills in:
  • Excel VBA, Python scripting
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting Bloomberg Terminal users.
• Exposure to AI / Generative AI tools and automation use cases.
• Experience supporting business-critical local applications and tools.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, and data automation concepts.
