Job summary

FortisHill Consulting in Hong Kong seeks an IT Infrastructure Assistant Manager to oversee end-to-end infrastructure management across design, implementation, operations, and maintenance. You will own core services, security controls, DR/backup readiness, and optimisation initiatives.

You will partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure a stable, secure, and scalable IT environment, while delivering projects and guiding incidents with strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in a computer-related disciplin
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure planning, implementation, and operation
• Strong hands-on exposure across WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls, DNS, DH
• WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Firewalls, DNS, DH
• Storage: SAN / N
• Windows Servers, Linux
• Virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker)
• Databases (Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL)
• Cloud platforms: Azure and AWS
• Programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, PHP) is an advantage
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects with internal stakeholders and external vendors/partners
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; able to work independently
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese

Responsibilities

• Manage overall IT infrastructure services from design and configuration through implementation, operations, and maintenance
• Support the reliability and performance of network infrastructure, hardware components, operating systems, and core IT services
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure issues across networks, systems, and platforms using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
• Review current data management systems and recommend streamlined solutions for system upgrades and performance optimisation
• Disaster Recovery, Backup & Information Security Control: implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures
• Establish and strengthen information security controls and operational structures to support governance and risk requirements
• ISO 27001 Governance Support: establish and maintain ISO 27001 policies and procedures
• Provide helpdesk support and user training to ensure effective adoption and smooth day-to-day operations
• Engage and negotiate with external vendors/contractors for infrastructure products and services
• Coordinate infrastructure projects and delivery efforts with internal teams and third-party partners
