Job summary

Value Partners Ltd is seeking an Intern in Product Development in Hong Kong. The role involves market research on funds, ETFs, and investment vehicles, plus analysis of industry trends, benchmarking, and helping develop new products with market sizing and feasibility assessments.

You'll also support enhancement of existing products through data insights and client feedback, and assist in drafting product docs.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and numerical skills; comfortable working with data.
Understanding of basic investment concepts (e.g., asset classes, portfolio construction, risk/return).
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Bloomberg or Morningstar is a plus.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Conduct market research on mutual funds, ETFs, private funds, and other investment vehicles.
Analyze industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
Support benchmarking of fund performance, fees, and product positioning.
Assist in developing new investment products by preparing product proposals, market sizing, and feasibility assessments.
Contribute to the enhancement of existing products through data analysis, client feedback, and performance insights.
Support drafting of product documentation such as factsheets, pitchbooks, and product briefs.
Work with investment teams to collect and validate performance, holdings, and risk data.
Help maintain internal product databases, dashboards, and reporting materials.
Prepare product analytics for internal meetings and client presentations.
