Job summary

China Asset Management (Hong Kong) seeks a motivated Junior-Intermediate Product Manager to join our team to develop and manage mutual funds, ETFs, digital assets and other investment products for our diverse client base in Hong Kong.

The role requires a solid foundation in product development within asset management, bilingual in Chinese and English, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including investment, sales, compliance, operations, and marketing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 2–4 years of product development experience in asset management, specifically mutual funds and ETFs.
• Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English with strong communication skills.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong asset management regulation is a plus.
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare documentation for product approvals and regulatory filings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment, sales, compliance, operations, and marketing, to ensure successful product delivery.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify product opportunities and enhancements.
• Monitor product performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in client meetings and industry conferences to gather insights and promote products.

Skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of product development experience in the asset management industry, specifically with mutual funds and ETFs with exposure to Hong Kong Unit Trusts, OFC, Cayman structures and UCITs.
• Fluent in both Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages.
• Solid understanding of the industry, including product innovation, regulatory environment, and market trends.
• Familiarity with the Hong Kong and Chinese asset management regulatory landscape is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated team player with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
