Job summary

Manulife Investment Management is seeking an Analyst Intern to support the investment team in managing and monitoring the existing portfolio. The role includes due diligence on potential investments and assisting with periodic investment reviews across our Asia-Pacific private markets focus from Hong Kong.

The position requires a finance/economics/business background, a passion for investing, excellent English communication, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

Undergraduate or graduate students with a major in finance, economics, or business administration
Candidates should have a demonstrated passion for investing and interest in private market transactions
Strong English language verbal and written communications skills are required
Strong proficiency with Excel
Team player capable of working with various internal and external teams in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing periodic investment reviews on existing investments
Assist with ad hoc portfolio-related analytical projects and reporting initiatives
Assist with due diligence on fund partners across various geographies and fund strategies
Assist with due diligence on prospective equity co-investments including reviewing historical financial performance, industry dynamics and competitive analysis, valuation analysis and financial modelling
