Job summary

Selby Jennings in Hong Kong is seeking an Investment Analyst to join a global multi-strategy hedge fund. The role centers on deep fundamental research across Global Industrials, Software, and Internet sectors, and developing high-conviction investment theses.

You will model companies, assess valuations, interact with management, and support portfolio construction with rigorous risk-reward analysis. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin/Japanese/Korean a plus; 1–5 years buy-side or top-tier

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of relevant investment experience on buyside or top-tier sell-side research.
• Coverage experience in Global Industrials, Software, Internet or related sectors.
• Buyside experience preferred; strong candidate from leading sell-side teams considered.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and company analysis capabilities with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on companies in Global Industrials, Software, or Internet.
• Develop differentiated investment theses and identify long and short opportunities globally.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
• Engage with management, industry experts, customers, and vendors for proprietary insights.
• Monitor holdings, earnings, industry developments, and catalysts; support portfolio construction.
